::Ordered Chaos::

Ordered chaos is a very familiar concept to me.  The first time I used this term was when I was living in Hanoi, Vietnam.  When you first arrive to the city and experience the motorbikes zooming past with what looks like no rules or regulations, you think - CHAOS.  You think to yourself, how will I ever cross the street without getting hit.  But then you watch a local cross the street and you see everyone swerving around them.  As long as one is confident and consistent in their stride, the sea of motorbikes will see you through.

I experienced the same idea even stronger when I started to drive myself around the city.  From an outsiders' perspective, nothing seems more chaotic than the the traffic in Hanoi.  However, like a massive school of fish, the traffic there is nothing other than organized chaos.  There are less rules and no lanes, but you're able to stay safe if you're in constant flow of those around you.  Once you've found yourself in the motion of the sea of motorbikes, things seem much less scary.

::Consciousnesses out of Chaos::

Wow.  Consciousness out of Chaos.  This idea couldn't be more relevant to the revolution occurring within our society currently.  We have reached a state of chaos, a breakdown, and state of disorder due to our veils of ignorance being forcefully torn off after viewing the filmed murder of George Floyd.  The necessary chaos that is happening has forced those of us who knew about police brutality and systemic racism, to become more educated and more involved.  There is always more to learn and more ways to act.  We needed this chaos to become more conscious as individuals and as a society.

::My (a)symmetrical World::

There is so much beauty in asymmetry.  Where would the fun be without it?  It allows for us to have different experiences each day, and to have different outcomes when repeating the same action.  It allows for one tomato plant to thrive on the Western side of the garden and the other to grow slowly on the Eastern side.  Asymmetry can be frustrating at times but without it, life would be extremely boring.
